My mom makes every one of her grandchildren baby quilts, so our baby girl who is due this January just got hers. My first daughter got a pink, owl-themed quilt for her nursery, and this one got a mint, gold, and coral baby quilt. We were trying to go for a more muted nursery color scheme, and I think it looks pretty great. Check out the finished product!
We bought all but one of the fabrics from Hobby Lobby and actually used an already made fleece blanket for the back of the quilt. We searched forever for the perfect shade of mint green! Here it is:
I love how well all the fabrics went together. Between the geometric prints, polka dots, and floral themes, I’m just loving the variety too!
With my oldest, we put fabric between the quilt squares, but we felt this coral baby quilt looked best with the squares just all stitched together and a simple border on the outside. What do you think? If I can find the energy before baby is born, I’ll be sharing some more of the nursery decor for our upcoming addition! I can’t even imagine what life is going to be like with two children when having just one and being pregnant keeps me exhausted!
